USB 2.0 Bluetooth adapter works very easily, no install required for windows 8 and 10. For windows 7 and older, it comes with a little CD to install the drivers. All that is required is plugging in the adapter, connecting your bluetooth device from the bluetooth menu, and that’s it. The device works at very long distances, allowing for bluetooth connectivity to my speakers across my entire house (~40ft) from my computer. Would recommend to anyone looking to add bluetooth to their computer.

WOW This is great. As the title says, it works. Now I didn’t fiddle around with it to see what it’s range is but I’d be surprised if it does that quite well. And it was just simple. I plugged it in with the PC still running and Windows 10 saw it and provided the drivers and that was it I didn’t have to fiddle with it, plug it in and out a few times, find some obscure driver it needed. Nope. The whole process was about as difficult as it is to plug a lamp into a wall outlet. I just wish everything was just that easy.

This little device was really easy to connect. When I saw the driver disk I thought it would be complicated, but it turns out you don’t need the driver unless you’re using some other form of Windows. For Windows 10, which I have, you just plug the little guy in and he connects instantly. I used this to connect to my Bluetooth speakers when watching videos or listening to music on my pc. Sometimes the speakers on my monitor are just not enough, you know? I really enjoy having this adapter!

I have this Bluetooth dongle connected to my pc to go to a speaker system and I was skeptical whether the connection could manage to go through 3 walls and about 5-10 yards away but it managed it and it’s been working perfectly since.

My refurbished Dell PC was not blue tooth enabled or WiFi enabled. I needed to replace the original adapter that came with the PC. This one is so much better than the clumsy adapter which stuck out. This new one is very short; nothing really to bump into. I did need to download the program which came on a small CD, as my search program is the dated Windows 7. It was an easy process to do. Says it has twice the range (20m) but I’m getting less than half of my Android phone with terrible breakup. Anybody else have range issues?

How to get longer range?
-Try not to plug the Bluetooth adapter in the back of the computer, because there are more radio interference and the metal of your tower-style computer case will block the Bluetooth signal
-An Intel white paper also confirmed that poorly shielded USB 3.0 ports will cause radio interference. In order to solve short range issues when plugged into a USB 3.0 port, a USB extension cable can help with this. using a USB 2.0 extension cable to move the adapter away from the computer or moving the adapter to the front of the computer often helps.
– Operation range can be affected by Wi-Fi routers, physical obstructions (people, walls etc.) and also depends on receiving device. Please test your receiving Bluetooth device with a mobile phone to confirm the range is acceptable and removing your Wi-Fi routers away from computer.
– please make sure the audio drop out issue is not caused by slow network speed If you’re watching videos or streaming music from an online source
